Why is it so hard to cast your cares upon Him knowing that he cares for you? In 1 Peter 5:7 KJV, it states Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. We often find ourselves going through so much and feeling as if the weight of the world is on our shoulders. Instead of giving it to God, we continue to ‘handle’ all of these situations ourselves. We stress, we worry, we cry but we fail to do the most important thing…PRAY. A lot of people use prayer as a last resort when in actuality, it should be the first thing we do each and every day. We wait until the situation goes from bad to worse and then we decide to pray.source: http://www.lovelysharice.com[/caption%5D
The other day I was driving my car and I noticed my gas tank was at an all time low (that’s an actual picture of my gas tank, bad right?). Now, don’t get me wrong, I noticed my gas tank becoming more and more empty but instead of refilling my tank when I first noticed it, I kept driving. I kept putting it off until I started to panic because I was in a location where there wasn’t a gas station nearby and I was afraid! Then I realized that we do the same thing spiritually. We wait until we are at an all time low and almost ‘stranded’ in our situations to ask God for help when we should have asked a long time ago. So I admonish you to cast your cares upon him NOW. Whatever it is, don’t hold onto it…Let it Go. Have you ever heard of the saying ‘Let Go and Let God’. There is also a song with those same words (I have included it below). So please Let Go and Let God!
In my devotions, I will always refer to the King James Version bible. If you are looking for a good, affordable copy, I recommend the one pictured below since it has large print and a reference. You can find it here.
