Looking for cheap dinner ideas? Feeding a family of 4 can be expensive, so I have included 6 meals under $10 that are easy to prepare and delicious to eat. Also, these meals are simple and quick. Most families’ schedules are extremely busy and the average person doesn’t have money to waste on food.  Therefore, cheap dinner ideas can be very beneficial. So let’s get right to it.   1. Chicken Alfredo w/ Broccoli
    • 1 Can of Alfredo Sauce – $1.50
    • 1 lb of Frozen Broccoli – $1.50
    • 1 Pack of Drumsticks (4-5 drumsticks in a pack) – $3.00
      • You will have to take the chicken off the bone and cute it into chunks. However, if there are chicken breasts or tenderloins on sale, I would purchase those instead.
      • Cooking instructions: Prepare the chicken and broccoli first in a frying pan on medium (add a little water and butter). Allow the chicken and broccoli to fully cook and then add the alfredo sauce. Let it simmer on low for 5-7 minutes afterwards.
  2. Kielbasa Sausage w/ Cabbage & Yellow Rice
    • 1 Pack of Kielbasa Smoked Sausage – $2.50
    • 1 Head of 3lb Cabbage (based on $0.50 per lb but may be cheaper in your area) – $1.50
    • I Pack of Yellow Rice (can find at any wal-mart, kroger, etc) – $1.25
      • Cooking instructions: I prepare the kielbasa sausage and cabbage by boiling them together. I slice the sausage before placing them in the pot. The yellow rice comes with cooking instructions.
  3. Chicken Drumsticks w/ 2 Sides
    • 1 Pack of Drumsticks (4-5 drumsticks in a pack) – $3.00
    • 1 lb of Frozen Broccoli – $1.50
    • 1 Pack of Instant Mashed Potatoes (4oz.)- $1.00
      • Cooking Instructions: Prepare the drumsticks as you wish, i.e., bake, fry (I have included a link that includes 9 recipes for drumsticks below). Steam the broccoli with butter, salt and pepper. Follow the instructions for the instant mashed potatoes.
  4. Kielbasa Smoked Sausage w/ Potatoes Dish
    • 1 Pack of Kielbasa Smoked Sausage – $2.50
    • 1 Bag of Potatoes – $2.50
    • 1 Green Pepper – $1.00
      • Cooking instructions – Fry the potatoes, diced green pepper and kielbasa sausage together in a skillet. I suggest putting a little oil or butter in the pan…whichever you have on hand should be fine!
  5. Spaghetti with Ragu Meat Sauce & Salad
    • Spaghetti noodles – $1
    • Ragu Meat Sauce – $2.50
    • Bag of salad – $2.50
      • Cooking instructions – Both the box and Ragu sauce come with cooking instructions.
  6. Little Caesar’s Hot and Ready Pizza
    • Little Caesars Hot & Ready – $5.99!
      • Cooking instructions: Tell the family you’re taking the night off…PIZZA it is!
