The benefits of an avocado hair mask for dry hair are endless. This avocado hair mask recipe includes coconut oil and honey so try not to eat it unless you really want to!
Recently, I decided to only use edible products in my hair. Yes, you read that correctly, I plan to only use natural food products in my hair (except when it comes to shampoo). So I decided to use an avocado hair mask for my hair (which is very similar to my avocado face mask).
Avocado Health Benefits
An avocado has so many nutrients that I consider it the “power fruit”. It contains vitamins such as vitamin c, vitamin e, vitamin d, vitamin k, vitamin e, potassium, magnesium, manganese, copper, iron, zinc, phosphorous, B1 (Thiamine), B2 (Riboflavin) and B3 (Niacin) and biotin. Each of these vitamins are very beneficial to your hair.
Avocado Hair Mask Recipe
This is the avocado hair mask I use and it leaves my hair extremely moisturized. Listed below are the reasons I use each ingredient in this mask.
- Avocado – Avocado is a natural moisturizer and will cause you to have shiny and moisturized hair.
- Extra Virgin Coconut Oil – Coconut oil is a natural moisturizer and is known to penetrate deep into your hair follicles. Coconut oil is also very light and will not weigh your hair down.
- Organic Honey – Honey is a natural humectant and has antioxidants. It is known to moisturize your hair and its antibacterial and antiseptic qualities keeps the scalp clean.
